Sleepless in San Fran [a Cliché]

It's been a while since I've posted random--super random--thoughts. Let's do a quick free write, since I can't go to sleep.
BTW, is anyone out there? Who really reads my blog? I've always wondered, so post a comment or something. =P
Okay: I'm thinking that it's hard to sleep since I've got this woman in my head. I've never felt--umm--"on a leash" like this before. She totally has me, and I'm pretty sure she knows it. But man, I've fallen hard. This one f'n song plays over and over in my mind, and I can't get it out just because I feel like the words make so much sense. A good friend cited the song as a "panty-dropper"; not that I want that, but if it were only that easy.

So in my secret life, I hung out with some good friends late last night. I drove all the way to Fremont, after a night of drunken stupor, and they definitely made sure that I was okay--god, I love my Santa Cruz folks. Most especially, I love how they never give up on me. They push me to the ground and force me to get back on my feet; it's beautiful.

I began to think today that the order of priority with my friends, family, etc. is beginning to change. It's weird because it's been a really long time since I've [wanted] to devote more time to one specific person... How can I explain the "order of succession"?
frosh/soph: girlfriend > family > [non-existent] friends
junior/mid-senior: friends > family
senior/grad school: family = friends
But now, are things changing? To be quite honest, I don't think she'd let things get to that point--nor do I think that we'd ever venture that far. So, whatever happens happens.

I'm glad that we're both young and exploring. For me, I just wanna get out of grad school--well, surely learn a little bit--and find a kick-ass job (that pays bank). Wait: does this mean that I have to include "school" in the "order of succession," too? ARGH!

In the meantime, here's the checklist of things to do before I go back to normalcy:
  • haircut at diPietro Todd (with Adam)
  • find some cool San Fran stuff for friends in Syracuse
  • figure out where I'm staying in NYC from 26-28 August
  • study for the Stat and Econ waiver exams
  • see Richelle, Jen and other Santa Cruz folks
  • have another family fun day
  • see Wicked
  • get new eyeglasses
Ahh yes, eyeglasses. Opinions on my old frames (Nautica Microgravity's)? I need to find new ones (something rimless). While I wish that my eyeglasses would make me look a lot hotter than I am now, I think I was a lot cuter back then (circa 25 December 2002). And yes, sadly, that is Abercrombie I'm wearing.

As I head back to bed, Dexter (my cat that runs away from me every time I walk past him), munches away... [He's much bigger now.]
