My Presidential Campaign and WIN!!!

For those following my campaign, today I will be making a speech and showing a video... Here it is for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy! Vote Justin for Bush!

Update: here's the full text of my 2 minute speech! And...

I won President Bush

Aunty Becky, I'm going to make you proud!

Good afternoon, classmates... I never thought I'd be saying this, but... [sigh] It gives me great pleasure to ask you for your support to become President Bush.

First, I'm truly excited by this challenge--and it is a challenge for me. I don't always agree with the politics of our President, but I'm eager to work hard to fill his shoes, playing a central role in making this simulation what it should be: extremely accurate. While I pledge to you that I will remain true to the values of President Bush, the administration and the party, I also intend to keep my personal beliefs neutral to ensure that this simulation is real for you and me.

Second, I'm thrilled to share with all of you my leadership and management experience. I take great pride in making myself available to you, making sure that we are united and not divided. We shouldn't necessarily try to pass the most bills, cut the most taxes or have the longest filibuster; rather, we should learn in the hopes of increasing our "Civility Quotient." I genuinely hope to make this learning experience valuable for all of us, and just as the President does, I will delegate and consult with my staff on the issues we face:

- Mister Card [Armen]
- Secretary Rumsfeld [Konstantine]
- Department of Homeland Security Deputy Michael Jackson [Coraline]

Third, I'm energetic and look forward to setting a positive, competitive, challenging and, maybe even, fun tone for this simulation. We should keep in mind that this is a simulation, and that we're not dealing with real money or real casualties. We're all trying to learn and should be competitive. Surely, I'm going to be competitive--and I hope that you will, too--but we should be competing to push each other to stay true to the roles we've been assigned and take them as they are given. Just like Government, we should use this experience as an instrument for good--making sure that no citizen is left behind.

I want to reach across both aisles... So for the Republicans, you'll get my cell later... Democrats, I'm sure the TA's will have staff hours for you... Members of the media, use short and simple words. Lobbyists, if you didn't know, I like sushi.

Bring it on! Here's to a great next three weeks. Vote Justin for Bush!
Thanks to everyone who voted and helped me out in my campaign!
