My Day of Jubilee
Today was the highlight of my presidency. After my staff and cabinet (including their directors and deputies) finished my speech, I was provided their draft for my revisions. Interestingly enough, it feels much like I'd imagine--what it's like to be the president. I finished the revisions, but they weren't enough. All the way up until the last few minutes before the delivery of the speech, my staff and I worked on the final draft of the speech--my blood racing, running from the basement to the 3rd floor, rushing to put on a formal suit, making sure that my staff was ready to speak on my speech and its points after I had delivered it.
The delivery was priceless, and I look forward to seeing the news reports that are filed on my speech--which will be posted tomorrow--hopefully.
The rest of the day was spent on figuring out how to trump the dems--the Democrats--in their own game. Surely, they think they have a good proposal up their sleeve, but they're wrong. And, in the meantime, my staff has worked to prove to them who's boss. I love being the president.
In regard to the rest of my evening, I celebrated with my executive staff and had a(n Irish) Car Bomb and 5 hennessy+coke. Now, I'm home and am having "my day of jubilee" with my most favorite episode of The West Wing: Six Meetings Before Lunch!!! I begin to think that the reason that I like this episode so much is because Sam's relationship with Mallory is one that I long for with someone I think of--everyday. [For my friends on the west coast, it'll be on at 10pm tonight on Bravo]
