Revisiting NYC
Before I start my post--I'm watching I Am Sam. I love this movie.Let me try to recap my amazing weekend in NYC, which proved to me only that I really want to be in NYC after I graduate (in 334 days)...
FridayI arrived at the Syracuse Airport super early--almost 6 hours before my flight--so I got on an earlier flight to LaGuardia. I had no plans and didn't know what to do... All of my friends were busy working, so I had to do something on my own. So, what do I end up doing??? You guessed it: spa and haircut. I canceled my appointment at Bumble & bumble for Saturday morning and went to Frederic Fekkai to get a haircut. My stylist that day was Brandon, a really cool Korean guy who charges $125 for men's haircuts. What does it look like? Perhaps, I'll touch on this tomorrow--I'm pretty certain that the Republicans in my MPA program will be taken aback by my hair. Ha2! While I was there, I found out they had spa services, so I took good advantage of that, too...
I then hooked up with a good friend, Sugar, that I've known since Preschool! We walked around town, had dinner and went to Club Duvet (notice that I don't provide a link to this place)--Club Duvet in New York SUCKS! The employees who work the door are pretty stupid--insensitive, working as if they're at the best club in the world, which is Levende in San Francisco. ;-) We finally got into the club, and I definitely spent money. On my way out, I talked to the door staff and told them that I was the one who asked about buying the club out (for RUSSeption II) and recommended that he be more careful when selecting who not to let into the club next time--he apologized. Regardless, Club Duvet sucks. Pretty wasted, I headed home.
Saturday ::sigh::Waking up in a giant king-size bed is kick ass, compared to the tiny twin I have here in Syracuse...
- Avenue Q is an amazing Broadway Show. You gotta see it! Seriously!
- Finding a restroom in the Broadway area is hard
- Riding one of those NYC tour busses reminds me of 40 Days and 40 Nights
- Sushi Yasuda has some great sushi and sashimi... And sake. ;-)
So on Saturday, I watched two puppets having sex.I think that Princeton thought that Sai is hott--I think so, too. =P
Can I just say that's the most disturbing thing EVER!? Like, WHOA. Then, one of the puppets that was having sex came up to me and tried to steal my purse. And then, he kissed me. Best afternoon ever...and obviously, that means that I was watching...Avenue Q! And yes, Princeton the puppet really did come off the stag, try to take my purse, and then kiss me.
After all of this, I ended up going to a roof party, Absoutely 4th and some other clubs in the Meatpacking District with Jon, a friend from Santa Cruz. Once again, I walked home wasted.
SundayI flew back to Syracuse... And the airplane stewardess asked for my number. ;-)
