morning sickness
i'm actually doing fine, but am a bit upset about a few things... i guess i can never go to bed early enough, such that i'm awake and ready to seize the day. it's a little past 08.30a here in syracuse, and i'm siting in the cafe at our school, typing this entry.
i've been getting to school much earlier, now that i've figured out how to take the bus to school. for the past 2 days, i take bus number 130, which picks me up right outside my house... the sort'a bad thing is that it picks me up at 08.09a each morning, which is quite a bit earlier than i'm used to; as such, i've gotta get up earlier to catch this bus. so instead of waking up at about 07.30 each morning, i've now been getting up at 07.00a. =(
besides this, my class (all 130 of us) have been working on a huge project that's due in exactly 1 week and 30 minutes. =/ we have to construct a daycare budget, based on quite a few stipulations. there are so many children, and the number of children increases at a non-constant rate... there are multiple hour shifts for the staff and multiple lunch hours, for which you have to hire part time workers... then there are vacation days to account for... it's pretty time-consuming. surely, it's a challenging (final) assignment, but man, i just wanna get it over with.
so what do i have to look forward to at this point?
well, i've got about 47.5 weeks left of this--this is insane! to think that i'll have my masters degree in this little time. but it's going to be much hard than it is now, i imagine.
at the end of the month, i'm going to my (second most) favorite place: new york city--only because there are so many modest people out there. =P
then on august 1, i begin the most challenging--if not exciting--courses in the MPA program: public administration and democracy. it's a 3 week simulation of our nation and it's government and the players within it. i can't wait to be president!!!
for now though, i look forward to another day of public budgeting... and once again, we return to "cost accounting." YUCK!
