The Joy of Writing
I can hear birds chirping, but before I go to bed I thought it would be good to take this moment to write in this thing. Oftentimes, I find it difficult to conjure up topics or ideas to write about. And, I'm certain that for many of you, reading this blog has become a re-run of sorts. You think to yourself: He always writes about this person that he likes... Go to grad school already... Of course you're going to miss your friends--get over it. Yet, to be quite honest, this is all that comes to my mind day and night.
One of the biggest joys of mine--besides my Mac and Apple and Pixar and West Wing and the like--has always been writing. The ways words are composed to concoct charming sentences. Alliteration and consonance are just a couple of my favorites. And this joy of writing is something that I've failed to utilize and express over these 4 years. I guess I'd like to blame it on my ex. She gets the blame for everything nowadays--sorry, Trish.
Nevertheless, writing is something that I have always enjoyed. But more than that, I have always had a love for the delivery of words... Speeches, they say. More recently, I have begun to use this technique in creating my writing. I type what I think, read it aloud, then think to myself: Does this sound good?
For much of what I wrote recently, the answer may be no. Yet, I am hopeful that my points and thoughts come across to you.
5 days. [will smile upon celebration suggestions]
