Terms of Settlement

A number of you have been asking what I ended up getting after leaving Monster Crayons. I think I should make it clear that the settlement was made in good faith and was satisfactory for all parties involved: myself and the two other partners. In summary, here's what I received:

• the two partners bought out my share of the company for an undisclosed sum, which will be paid out over a period of 10 months;
• at the end of fiscal year 2007, should the company remain financially sound (defined as, earning the same amount of revenues for 2005, 2006, 2007 that were earned in fiscal year 2004), I will receive another undisclosed sum (essentially, it's a bonus);
• in 3 months, I will have the opportunity to become an angel investor in the company, earning an undisclosed percentage of equity.

How does that sound? To be honest, I'm pretty happy.
